Here are the questions and the answers of Hilary. They made questions about Joel, going blonde, etc...


Q: I love your new single "Stranger" and i reckon the start of it sound like Pussycat Dolls' "Buttons"! Would you like to be a PCD?- by Claire, Dublin
Hilary: ( Laughs) That's funny! I like the Pussycat Dolls a lot, i think they're cute, but i wouldn't want to be one! Its not really my thing.

Q: Is your middle name really Erhard? -by Molly, Chipping Sodbury
Hilary: Mm-hmm. Its a family name passed on to me. It comes from my dad's Greek grandfather or someone who didi all this great stuff for this town in Texas. I don't really know the whole story, i just know it's a terrible middle name! When i was younger, i used to be like. "i don't have a middle name!"
'cos its so weird.

Q.: What sort of guys do you normally go for? - by Luke, Telford.
Hilary: I'm happy being single at the moment. I'm not attracted to a certain type, everyone thinks I like people with tattoos - I don't! I don't want anyone who looks like they spend more time in front of the mirros than I do! I like dark hair and dark e though!

Q.: Is it true some crazy guy shouted at you that he was going to kill you when you were in Canada recently? - by Vicky, Aberdeen
Hilary: Oh, my gosh! I was doing a live appearance at MuchMusic, which is like the MTV of Canada, and there was a huge crowd of people outside. There was this drunk, homeless guy walking down the stress shouting, "Who is it? What's going on? I'll kill her, I'll kill her". He wasn't really a threat and he was quite far away from me, but he got arrested. I've had a lot of security issues in the past. For a while I was even scared to be in my own home or go out by myself.

Q.: Are you still on the "dessert or bread" diet? - by Kate, Exeter
Hilary: A dessert and bread diet? I don't know...I think I told someone once that I try to eat in moderation, so if I eat bread before my food then I'm not going to have a dessert. I don't know if that keeps me slim but it makes me feel better. I do a lot of pilates and hiking, I eat a lot of protein and I do eat carbs, just not a lot.

Q: Do you still talk to Joel? -by: Helena, Manchester
Hilary: I'm not really in touch with Joel. If we run into each other, we say hi. There's no bad blood.

Q:I've heard that Stranger is about your relationship with Joel...is that true? -by Lousie, Norwich
Hilary: No, I wrote that song when i was still in a relationship with him.
It's negative towards a guy and we never really had problems like that in our relationship. It was the first song i wrote for my record and my parents were in the middle of separating.
We were having all these family issues and i just didn't want anyone to know about it, so i wrote that song but i made it seem like it was me in the relationship, instead of my parents.

Q.: I read somewhere that you're going blonde again - how come? - by Becki, Liverpool
Hilary: I'm ready to come back to the light side. I really like having dark hair but it's summer and I feel like when I was blonde - I know this sounds stupid - but I felt like a different person to when I have brown hair. I think people take you more seriously and you don't feel like as bubbly. Brunettes are more mysterious but I prefer being blonde.
